1. The Inbound Signal In the last 6 months, how many high-quality, unsolicited inquiries have you received regarding your expertise?

Zero. I have to “push” for every conversation. A few, but they are usually lateral moves or low quality. Several. I am regularly sought after for my mind and leadership.

2. The Negotiation Baseline When discussing compensation, do you feel you are reacting to their budget or setting the market rate?

I take what is budgeted. I feel I have little room to push. I negotiate a little, but eventually settle for their comfort zone. I set the anchor. They react to my market value.

3. The Digital Proxy Does your LinkedIn profile read like an Executioner (list of duties) or an Architect (portfolio of outcomes)?

Mostly duties. It looks like a standard resume. It highlights some wins, but doesn’t project a “Strategic Solution.” It sells a business case. I am positioned as a high-level outcome creator.

4. The Time Autonomy Do you have the authority to decline meetings and tasks that don’t align with your strategic outcomes?

No. My calendar is managed by the expectations of others. Sometimes, but I often feel guilty or fearful of pushback. Yes. I own my time and focus only on high-leverage work.

5. Market Defiance If you walked away today, how confident are you that your reputation alone would secure 3 offers in 30 days?

Terrified. I feel completely dependent on my current employer. Unsure. I’d likely have to start a traditional, cold job search. Confident. My network and authority are my true safety net.
